Mount Dowling er eit lite fjell oppom sørkysten av Thurston Island, kring 13 nautiske mil (24 km) aust for Von der Wall Point. Det vart kartlagd av US Geological Survey frå landmålingar og flyfoto tekne i U.S. Navy, 1960–66, og vart namngjeven av Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names etter Forrest L. Dowling, ein geofysikar ved Byrd-stasjonen i 1960–61.[1]
