Pauling Islands er ei separat øygruppe som ligg 3 nautiske mil (6 km) søraust for Barcroft Islands i Crystal Sound. Ho vart kartlagd frå landmålingar av Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) (1958–59). Ho vart namngjeven av United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) etter Linus C. Pauling, ein amerikansk kjemikar som la fram ein teori om strukturen i is kring 1935.
