Belding Island er ei øy som er 3 nautiske mil lang og som ligg vest for sørenden av Watkins Island i Biscoe Islands. Ho vart kartlagd frå flyfoto teken av Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (1956–57), og vart namngjeven av UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee etter Harwood S. Belding, ein amerikanske fysiolog som var leiar for Climatic Research Laboratory i Department of the Army i Lawrence i Massachusetts, og som sette i gang ei omfattande forsking på klede i kaldt klima.[1]
