Chappel Island er den største av Donovan Islands, som ligg kring 5 nautiske mil nordvest for Clark Peninsula i den austlege delen av Vincennes Bay. Øya har mange adeliepingvinar som hekkar her. Ho vart først kartlagd frå flyfoto teken av U.S. Navy Operasjon Highjump, 1946–47, og vart namngjeven av Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names etter pågripingsbetjent R.L. Chappel, i USA Marine Corps, som var fotograf under flyturane til Operasjon Highjump i dette området.[1]
