Clow Island er ei i den austlege delen av Lake Fryxell i Taylor Valley i Victoria Land. Øya var ei halvøy så seint som i 1980-åra då auka vassnivå i innsjøen gjorde at den austlege delen av halvøya vart lagt under vatn og ho vart ei øy. Ho vart namngjeven av Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (2000) etter Gary D. Clow frå US Geological Survey, som studerte vekselverknaden mellom sand og is og sedimentavsetjingar i isdekte innsjøar i Taylor Valley, 1985–86, og glasiologi ved Taylor Dome, 1993–94 til 1995–96.[1]
