Joseph Allen «Country Joe» McDonald (fødd 1. januar 1942) er ein USA-amerikansk musikar som var frontmann i den psykedelisk rock-gruppa Country Joe and the Fish i 1960- og tidleg i 1970-åra.[1]
McDonald har spelt inn minst 33 album og skrive hundrevis av songar gjennom ein karriere som har vart over 40 år. I 1965 skipa han og Barry Melton i lag Country Joe & the Fish som vart pionerar innan psykedelisk rock og spelte mellom anna på Monterey Pop Festival og Woodstockfestivalen.
Den mest kjende songen hans er «The «Fish» Cheer/I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-to-Die Rag» (1965), ein komisk antikrigssong om Vietnamkrigen med eit kjent refreng («One, two, three, what are we fighting for?»)[2] som var velkjent for Woodstock-generasjonen og Vietnam-veteranar i 1960- og 1970-åra.
Etter bandet vart oppløyst i 1971, la McDonald ut på ein solokarriere.
