Deichman bibliotek (Deichmanske bibliotek fram til 2018), med hovudbibliotek i Bjørvika i Oslo, er eit kommunalt folkebibliotek, det største i Noreg. Biblioteket har avdelingar kringom i Oslo.

Soge

Biblioteket byggjer på ei testamentarisk gåve frå Carl Deichmann, som levde frå 1705 til 1780. Han testamenterte boksamlinga si på 6 069 band til byen. Dei første biblioteklokala låg i Rådhusgata, og opna for publikum 12. januar 1785.^[1]

I 1898 moderniserte Haakon Nyhuus biblioteket etter eit opphald i USA.

Det tidlegare hovudbiblioteket på Hammersborg opna i 1933. Arkitekt for bygget var Nils Reiersen.^[1]

Fritt biblioteksystem

Deichman bibliotek har sia 2014 nytta det frie biblioteksystemet Koha^[2] med utvidinga Library Extended (LS.ext). Denne utvidinga er utvikla av og for Deichman bibliotek, og har vore nytta i produksjon sia oktober 2016.^[3]
