Svake verb i norsk[endre wikiteksten]

Hello
is the example 2.d) ok? It is very different to the other three examples. On the site Kategori:Sterke verb i nynorsk is gjere listed as a sterk verb. -- Cadfaell 2. juli 2010 kl. 09:13 (CEST)[svar]

As you can read, «Denne inndelinga er ikkje uproblematisk» - this categories is not unproblematic (sorry bad English). But anyway, I'll think most people will say that both group 2d and group 4 are «svake verb», even though the vokal changes. The examples shall be taken from the grammar I refered to in the article. I 19th century-nynorsk (f.ex. Blix) you will find written «eg gjerer», and in preteritum we write «eg gjorde». --Knut 2. juli 2010 kl. 10:27 (CEST)[svar]
Thank you for your answer. But, I think it makes under Wikipedia no sense to take the same verb "to gjere" as example under "Svake verb" and to list it under "Sterke verb" at the same time. That cannot be a acceptable lexical information. Maybe, the other sources are doubtful, too. -- Cadfaell 2. juli 2010 kl. 14:17 (CEST)[svar]
«Å gjere» is not listed under sterke verb on this wiki. It's listed in wiktionary, but that's something else. And the autor there has babelmark nn:3 - he doesn't know this language too good :-) --Knut 2. juli 2010 kl. 15:20 (CEST)[svar]
Hello Knut, thank you for your help and elucidation. -- Cadfaell 2. juli 2010 kl. 18:29 (CEST)[svar]

The distinction between strong and weak is defined by past tense suffix (-a, -de/-te or not). Some of the weak verb have vowel alternation (historically: Umlaut in infinitive and present) as well. The strong verbs have Ablaut, and no suffix Trondtr 2. juli 2010 kl. 19:01 (CEST).[svar]
