God Bless Our Homeland Ghana
«God Bless Our Homeland Ghana» er nasjonalsongen til det vestafrikanske landet Ghana. Han vart innført som nasjonalsong i 1957, same året som landet vart uavhengig frå Storbritannia. Teksta ein nyttar i dag blei offisielt fastsett i 1966.[1]
Melodien til songen blei skriven av Philip Gbeho og den opphavlege teksta til songen, «Lift High The Flag Of Ghana», var av Emmanuel Pappoe-Thompson. Denne blei revidert av ein offisiell litterær komite under styret til den fyrste presidenten av Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah.[2] Etter at Nkrumah blei styrta blei det halde ei tevling om ny tekst, og Kwame Gbordzoe vann med den noverande teksta.[3][4]
Teksta har trekk som er typiske for fleire afrikanske nasjonalsongar. Ho framhevar behovet for eining mellom dei ulike stammane som utgjer folkesetnaden, og for å byggja ein nasjon saman. Ho har òg panafrikanske element. Den fyrste presidenten i Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah, er rekna som ein sentral person i framvoksteren til panafrikanismen.

- Raise high the flag of Ghana
- And one with Africa advance;
- Black star of hope and honor
- To all who thirst for liberty;
- Where the banner of Ghana free flies,
