Grootes Peak er eit fjell med ei høgd opp mot 2635 moh heilt sør i Colwell Massif i Victoria Land i Antarktis. Det vart namngjeve av Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names etter Pieter Meiert Grootes frå Quaternary Isotope Laboratory ved University of Washington, 1977–94. Han var særs aktiv i isboringa til United States Antarctic Program og undersøkte mellom anna Taylor Dome. Etter 1994 leia han Karbon-14-laboratoriet ved Christian Albrechts Universitet i Kiel i Tyskland.[1]
