John T. Klemmer (fødd 3. juli 1946) er ein USA-amerikansk saksofonist, komponist, låtskrivar og arrangør.^[1]

Han var fødd i Chicago og byrja å spele gitar fem år gammal, og altsaksofon då han var 11. Han var òg tidleg interessert i grafikk og biletkunst, skriving, dansing og anna kunst. Han studerte ved Art Institute of Chicago og byrja å turnere med forskjellige lokale storband i midtvesten (Les Elgart, Woody Herman) i tillegg til at han spelte med små lokale jazz- og rockgrupper. Etter at han byta til tenorsaksofon vart Klemmer ein del av jazzmiljøet i Chicago og spelte i små grupper og stor band før han skipa sine eigne grupper.
