Matsumoto Pond er eit tjern sør for Dais Col og 2,6 km vest for Don Juan Pond i South Fork i Wright Valley i Victoria Land. Han vart namngjeven av Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) (1997) etter Genki I. Matsumoto, ein japansk kjemikar, som var eit medlem av fire japanske ekspedisjonar til Antarktis (JARE) (1976–77, 1981–82, 1983–84, 1985–86) i grupper som gjorde geofysiske og geokjemiske studiar av tjerna i McMurdo Dry Valleys, inkludert dette tjernet.
