Plaice Island er ei øy som ligg vest for Mackerel Island i Fish Islands, utanfor vestkysten av Graham Land. Ho vart kartlagd av British Graham Land Expedition (BGLE) under Rymill, 1934-37. Ho fekk dette namnet (Raudspetteøya) av United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) i 1959 fordi ho er ei av Fish Islands (Fiskeøyane).
