Rothera Point er eit nes ved austsida av innløpet til Ryder Bay, på søraustkysten av Adelaide Island. Det vart kartlagt av Den franske antarktisekspedisjonen under Charcot, 1908-10. Det vart namngjeve av United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) i 1960 etter John M. Rothera, ein landmålar i Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) ved stasjonen på Horseshoe Island i 1957 og ved Detaille Island i 1958.
