The Big Picture er det 26. studioalbumet til den britiske musikaren Elton John. Albumet kom ut i 1997 og inneheld fire singlar: «Live Like Horses» (ein duett med Luciano Pavarotti), «Something About the Way You Look Tonight» (gjeven ut seinare som ei dobbel A-side med «Candle in the Wind 1997»), «Recover Your Soul» og «If the River Can Bend». Albumet heller tungt mot orkester med strykearrangement skriven av Anne Dudley og klaverspelaren Guy Babylon. I 2006 fortalte John at Bernie Taupin, den gode venen og tekstforfattaren hans, at Taupin reknar dette albumet som det dårlegaste dei skreiv i lag, medan John sjølv meiner dette er Leather Jackets frå 1986.

Albumet var tileigna venen til Elton John, den populære motedesignaren Gianni Versace, som vart myrda nokre månader før albumet kom ut. Dette var det siste albumet hans som vart produsert av Chris Thomas, som hadde arbeidd med John nesten kontinuerleg sidan The Fox i 1981.
