The One er det tjuetredje studioalbumet til den britiske musikaren Elton John. Det kom ut i 1992 og vart spelt inn i Studio Guillame Tell i Paris, produsert av Chris Thomas. Albumet var tilskriven Vance Buck. Plateomslaget vart designa av Gianni Versace.

The One låg tre veker på andreplassen i Storbritannia, utan å nå toppen. Det vart det mestseljande albumet til John i USA sidan 1975. I Noreg nådde albumet tredjeplassen på albumlista.

Olle Romo samarbeidde med John og tekstforfattar Bernie Taupin på ein song, «Runaway Train», der Eric Clapton syng duett med John. David Gilmour frå Pink Floyd spelar gitar på «Understanding Women». Den tidlegare trommeslagaren til John, Nigel Olsson, og korjenta Kiki Dee (som song duett med Elton John på songen «Don't Go Breaking My Heart») og gitarist Davey Johnstone song korvokal på nokre songar.

Dette var det første albumet til John etter at han var innlagt for rehabilitering frå narkotika- og alkoholmisbruk og bulimi i 1991.

Albumet selde til gullplate i USA i august 1992, platinaplate månaden etter og dobbelplatina i mai 1993.
