Husstøvmidd (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus) er ein middart som fyrst vart skildra av Édouard Louis Trouessart i 1898. Han inngår i slekta Dermatophagoides og familien Pyroglyphidae.

Husstøvmidd er mikroskopiske små dyr som lever mellom anna i teppe, flass og sengetøy. Dei et døde hudceller som menneske feller kvar dag. Middane kan frambringa allergiske reaksjonar hjå somme. Det er avføringa støvmidden etterlèt seg som forårsakar denne allergiske reaksjonen. Ein støvmidd lever ca. 2 månader, og i løpet av levetida gjev han frå seg omtrent ti gonger så mykje avføring som si eiga kroppsvekt.

Eit lett tiltak mot husstøvmidd i senga er å ikkje reie opp senga etter å ha stått opp om morgonen, men la lys og luft kome til lakenet slik at varme og fukt forsvinn fortast mogeleg.[1]
