Wikipedia 25 år – velkommen til feiring!
[endre wikiteksten]Vi gler oss til fagleg påfyll og feiring, for 15. januar er det 25 år sidan at Wikipedia vart oppretta.
15. januar:
- Konferanse på Litteraturhuset i Oslo (blir også strøymt på YouTube): Wikipedia 25 år – fakta i front. Tema for foredrag og panelsamtale er korleis ulike aktørar innan kunnskap og ytringsfridom kan demme opp mot desinformasjon. Kåring av Årets wikipedianar.
- Festmiddag for WMNO-medlemar (og alle er velkomne til å melde seg inn!)
16. januar:
- Fagmøte for wikipedianarar på Sentralen i Oslo: Nøytral og kjeldebelagd kunnskap. Kva veit vi om kjeldebruken på dei norske Wikipedia-versjonane? Kan han bidra til feil eller slagside i artiklane? Innlegg, erfaringsutveksling og intro til gode kjelder som vi lett gløymer.
- Lunsj.
Påmelding til konferansen seinast 13/1. For anna program treng vi påmelding seinast 7/1, slik at alle kan få bevertning og plass rundt bordet. WMNO-medlemar som bur andre stader i landet, kan få dekt reise og overnatting.

- Ja, det var uventa vinnar. Veit ikkje kvifor Kleopatra var så populær i 2025. Det var ein del artiklar som var uventa plassert i topp 10/topp 3-listene. Johan Daniel Berlin, det norske alfabetet og nordleg pigghå var ikkje akkurat artiklar eg såg for meg skulle vere på topplister over mest viste artiklar, men artig læll. Feminism and Folklore 2026 starts soon

- Invitation to Organize Feminism and Folklore 2026
Dear Wiki Community,
We are pleased to invite Wikimedia communities, affiliates, and independent contributors to organize the Feminism and Folklore 2026 writing competition on your local Wikipedia.
The international campaign will run from 1 February to 31 March 2026 and aims to improve coverage of feminism, women’s histories, gender-related topics, and folk culture across Wikipedia projects.
- About the Campaign
Feminism and Folklore is a global writing initiative that complements the Wiki Loves Folklore photography competition. While Wiki Loves Folklore focuses on visual documentation, this writing campaign addresses the gender gap on Wikipedia by improving encyclopedic content related to folk culture and marginalized voices.
- What Can Participants Write About?
Communities can contribute by creating, expanding, or translating articles related to:
- Folk festivals, rituals, and celebrations
- Folk dances, music, and traditional performances
- Women and queer figures in folklore
- Women in mythology and oral traditions
- Women warriors, witches, and witch-hunting narratives
- Fairy tales, folk stories, and legends
- Folk games, sports, and cultural practices
Participants may work from curated article lists or generate new article suggestions using campaign tools.
- How to Sign Up as an Organizer
Organizers are requested to complete the following steps to register their community:
- Create a local project page on your wiki (see sample)
- Set up the campaign using the CampWiz tool
- Prepare a local article list and clearly mention:
- Campaign timeline
- Local and international prizes
- Request a site notice from local administrators (see sample)
- Add your local project page and CampWiz link to the Meta project page

The Wiki Loves Folklore Tech Team has introduced tools to support organizers and participants:
- Article List Generator by Topic – Helps identify articles available on English Wikipedia but missing in your local language Wikipedia. The tool allows customized filters and provides downloadable article lists in CSV and wikitable formats.
- CampWiz – Enables communities to manage writing campaigns effectively, including jury-based evaluation. This will be the third year CampWiz is officially used for Feminism and Folklore.

We are delighted to invite Wikimedia affiliates, user groups, and community organizations worldwide to participate in Wiki Loves Folklore 2026, an international initiative dedicated to documenting and celebrating folk culture across the globe.
- About Wiki Loves Folklore
Wiki Loves Folklore is an annual international photography competition hosted on Wikimedia Commons. The campaign runs from 1 February to 31 March 2026 and encourages photographers, cultural enthusiasts, and community members to contribute photographs that highlight:
- Folk traditions and rituals
- Cultural festivals and celebrations
- Traditional attire and crafts
- Performing arts, music, and dance
- Everyday practices rooted in folk heritage
Through this campaign, we aim to preserve and promote diverse folk cultures and make them freely accessible to the world.

- Host a Local Edition
As we celebrate the eight edition of Wiki Loves Folklore, we warmly invite communities to organize a local edition in their country or region. Hosting a local campaign is a great opportunity to:

Årlig gjennomgang av adferdskodeksen og retningslinjene for håndheving
[endre wikiteksten]Jeg skriver til deg for å si ifra at gjennomgangsperioden for adferdskoden og retningslinjer for håndheving har starta. Du kan foreslå endringer til og med 9. februar 2026. Dette er det første av flere steg relatert til den årlige gjennomgangen. Les mer og finn en samtale å bli med i på UCoC-siden på Meta.
Universal Code of COnduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) er en global gruppe dedikert til å gi en rettferdig og konsekvent implementering av kodeksen. Denne årlige gjennomgangen er planlagt og implementert av U4C. For å lese mer informasjon og ansvarene til U4C, kan du gå gjennom U4C-charteret.
