Barnes Bluff er eit klippeframspring frå Jones Bluffs, 19 km nord-nordaust for Eckman Bluff på austsida av Bear Peninsula ved Walgreen Coast i Marie Byrd Land. Det vart kartlagt av US Geological Survey frå landmålingar og frå flyfotografi teken av U.S. Navy i 1966 og vart namngjeve av Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names i 1977 etter kapteinløytnant John O. Barnes i US Navy under Operasjon Deep Freeze i 1975–76 og 1976–77, som var øvstkommanderande for NSFA vinteren 1977 ved McMurdo-basen.[1]
