Wideopen Islands er ei gruppe øyar og skjer som ligg 7 nautiske mil (13 km) nord for Boreal Point på Joinville Island. Ho vart grovt kartlagd frå avstand av Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) i 1953-54. Ho fekk dette namnet av United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) i 1958 på grunn av den eksponerte, isolerte plasseringa på sørsida av Bransfield Strait.
