Donald John Trump (fødd 14. juni 1946) var den 45. presidenten av USA og tidlegare forretningsmann og tv-kjendis.[1] Han vart vald til president i USA for Det republikanske partiet ved presidentvalet i 2016, der han slo Hillary Clinton.[2][3]
I september 2019 starta Representanthuset i USA ein prosess for å stille Trump for riksrett etter varsel som hevda at Trump misbrukte makta si for å få presidenten av Ukraina, Volodymyr Zelensky, til å etterforske Hunter Biden, son av Joe Biden.[4]
Karriere som forretningsmann
[endre | endre wikiteksten]Trump var president og styreleiar i The Trump Organization då han vart vald til USA sin leiar.[5] Han grunnla konsernet Trump Entertainment Resorts, ei kasino- og hotellverksemd som han eigde fram til 1995.[6][7]
