Earl Kenneth Hines, òg kjend som Earl «Fatha» Hines (28. desember 1903–22. april 1983), var ein USA-amerikansk jazzpianist og bandleiar. Han var ein av dei viktigaste personane i utviklinga av jazzpiano og, i følgje ei kjelde, «ein av få pianistar som med spelestilen sin forma jazzhistoria».

Trompetisten Dizzy Gillespie (eit medlem av storbandet til Hines, i lag med Charlie Parker) skreiv, «Pianoet er grunnlaget for moderne harmoni. Denne vesle karen kom ut frå Chicago, Earl Hines. Han endra pianostilen. Du kan finne røtene i Bud Powell, Herbie Hancock, alle dei karane som kom etter. Om det ikkje hadde vore for at Earl Hines gjekk opp stien for generasjonen som kom etter, er det ikkje godt å seie kvar me ville ha vore eller korleis me ville ha spelt no. Pianisten Lennie Tristano sa «Earl Hines er den einaste av oss som er kapabel til å skape verkeleg jazz og verkeleg swing når han speler heilt på eiga hand.» Horace Silver sa, «Han har ein heilt unik stil. Ingen kan få til den stilen der, ingen andre pianistar». Erroll Garner sa «Når du snakkar om stordom, snakkar du om Art Tatum og Earl Hines».

Count Basie sa at Hines var «den beste pianisten i verda».
