Steinemann Island er ei øy utanfor nordaustkysten av Adelaide Island, kring 10 nautiske mil (18 km) sørvest for Mount Velain. Ho vart kartlagd frå flyfoto teken av Ronne antarktiske forskingsekspedisjon (RARE) (1947–48) og Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (FIDASE) (1956–57). Ho vart namngjeven av United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) etter Samuel Steinemann, ein sveitsisk fysikar som gjorde laboratorieundersøkingar av isstraumar.
