Gnomon Island er ei lita klipperik øy som ligg like nord for Point Wild på Elefantøya i Sør-Shetlandsøyane. Ho vart kartlagd av Ernest Shackleton under Endurance-ekspedisjonen i 1914–16, og ho fekk dette namnet av dei fordi ho sett frå Point Wild kunne minne om ein gnomon, som er visaren på eit solur.[1]
