Black Pass er eit pass som går nordaust–sørvest, 3 nautiske mil vest for Mount Arronax på Pourquoi Pas Island, nordaust for Marguerite Bay. Det vart namngjeve av UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee etter Stanley E. Black (1933–58), ein meteorologisk assistent i Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey på Signy Island, 1957–58, og på Horseshoe Island, 1958, som i lag med D. Statham og G. Stride mista livet mellom Îles Dion og Horseshoe Island i mai 1958 då havisen braut opp.[1]
