Cape Fanning er eit nes på nordsida av innløpet til Violantefjorden, på austkysten av Palmer Land i Antarktis. Det vart oppdaga av U.S. Antarctic Service på ein flytur frå East Base den 30. desember 1940 og vart namngjeve av Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names etter Edmund Fanning i Stonington og New York City, som i tillegg til utforsking av Antarktis i samband med selfangst og kvalfangst støtta andre sine ekspedisjonar til Antarktis. Boka hans Voyages Round the World vart publisert i 1833.[1]
