Coupvent Point er eit nes, med fleire skjer utanfor, som stikk nord frå Trinityhalvøya, 5 nautiske mil sørvest for Lafarge Rocks. Namnet «Roche Coupvent» (Coupvent Rock) vart gjeve av kaptein Jules Dumont d'Urville til ei klippe i nærleiken. Det noverande namnet nyttar namnet d'Urville gav, etter August Coupvent-Desbois, ein offiser på «Zélée» og seinare «Astrolabe».[1]
