Blackrock Ridge er ein rygg med mørk stein som går vest-sørvest til aust-nordaust, 1,5 nautiske mil nord for Penguin Point sentralt på Seymour Island. Det skildrande namnet «Filo Negro» vart nytta om ryggen i argentiske geologiske rapportar om øya i 1978. Namnet vart tilrådd av Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names og UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee i 1991 for å unngå forveksling med Black Ridge i Deep Freeze Range.[1]
