The Laughing Apple er det femtande studioalbumet til Yusuf / Cat Stevens. Albumet vart gitt ut 15. september 2017 av Cat-O-Log Records. Det er fjerde utgivinga til Yusuf sidan han kom tilbake til musikken og hans første sidan Tell 'Em I'm Gone i 2014. Albumet vart produsert av Yusuf / Cat Stevens & Paul Samwell-Smith.[2] Tittelen er ein referanse til ein av dei tidlegare hittane til Cat Stevens, «The Laughing Apple», som var med på albumet New Masters frå 1967. Dette var det første albumet med det tidlegare namnet hans (Cat Stevens) på eit album sidan albumet Back to Earth i 1978. Det vart nominert til Grammyprisen for beste folkalbum.
