Han er òg på lista til The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame over dei 500 songane som forma rock and roll.

Songen er spelt av mange andre artistar, som Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Doors og Van Morrison sitt ThemWhisky a Go Go (1966),[3] Johnny Rivers, som òg spelte live på Whisky a Go Go i 1966, Grateful Dead (som ofte avslutta konsertane sine med songen i 1966 og 1967), Chris Farlowe, The Rascals, Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels, the Chocolate Watch Band, Razzy Bailey, Roxy Music, Jackie Wilson, The Jam, Johnny Thunders, The Chambers Brothers, Roger Troutman, The Toasters, Buddy Guy, The Rock Bottom Remainders, The Commitments, Cross Country, Echo & the Bunnymen, Samantha Sang, George Faith, B.
