Fate of Nations er det sjette studioalbumet til den tidlegare Led Zeppelin-songaren Robert Plant. Det kom ut i 1993 og igjen i 2007 med ekstra bonusspor. Med seg på albumet har Plant tidlegare Cutting Crew-gitarist Kevin Scott MacMichael. Songaren i Clannad, Máire Brennan syng på songen «Come into my Life». Songen «I Believe» er skriven for den døde sonen hans, Karac.
Plant forklarte albumet:
| « | Heilt frå starten av prosjektet, kring januar 1991, like etter Manic Nirvana-turneen, så visste eg kva eg ville: gå tilbake i fortida til [Moby] Grape, [Jefferson] Airplane, Tim Hardin, Quicksilver, Traffic, og andre viktige rockeartistar. Desse artistane prøvde å fortelje folk noko, føre saman forskjellige tradisjonar, med ei kjensle av søken etter å vere insinuerande og forteljande i dei akustiske og elektriske tema. Eg stolt over det eg prøvde å gjere med tekstane på albumet, å prøve å fortelje levande historier som kjem frå ein hjarteleg prosatradisjon.[1] | » |
Albumet var det siste soloalbumet til Plant før Dreamland i 2002.
