Buddha and the Chocolate Box er det åttande studioalbumet til Cat Stevens, gjeve ut i 1974. Tittelen kom til Stevens då han var på veg til ein spelejobb på eit fly med ein Buddha i den eine handa og ei eske med sjokolade i den andre. Han tenkte at viss han skulle døy på flyet, ville dette vera dei siste gjenstandane han hadde med seg, og han ville vera fanga mellom det andelege og det materielle. Albumet lener seg mot den andelege vegen, og er ein indikasjon på kva retning livet hans kom til å følgja.

Singelen «Ready» nådde 20. plassen i Canada.[5]
