The Best of The Animals var den første samleplata til The Animals. Det kom ut i februar 1966 i USA. Albumet inneheldt dei største hittane deira.
Albumet vart ein stor suksess i USA og nådde sjetteplassen på Billboard 200, den høgaste plasseringa dei klarte der i karrieren sin. Albumet låg på lista i over to år.[2] I juli 1966 hadde albumet seld til gullplate.[3]
I 1979 inkluderte rockekritikaren Greil Marcus albumet på lista si Stranded: Rock and Roll for a Desert Island og i 1997 gjorde Rolling Stone det same for Rolling Stone 200: The Essential Rock Collection.[4]
