Robert Tench, òg kjend som Bobby Tench, (21. september 1944–19. februar 2024) er ein britisk vokalist, gitarist, studiomusikar, låtskrivar og arrangør.[1]
Han er mest kjend for arbeidet sitt med Freddie King[2] og Van Morrison,[3] og som medlem av The Jeff Beck Group, Humble Pie, Streetwalkers[1] og The Van Morrison Band.[4] Han var òg knytt til Hummingbird[1] og Gass,[2] som han var med å starte.[5]
I byrjinga av karrieren spelte Tench med Gass og Gonzalez, før han vart med i Jeff Beck Group. Han spelte med Ginger Baker før han turnerte med Beck, Bogert & Appice som vokalist, og spelte i studio med Linda Lewis. Han spelte så med Wailer Junior Marvin og Freddie King.
Han fekk kontrakt med A&M Records og skipa Hummingbird, før han vart med Roger Chapman og Charlie Whitney i Streetwalkers. Han spelte så ei kort stund med Boxer og Widowmaker før han arbeidde mykje med Van Morrison. Etter Morrison spelte han med Eric Burdon og Axis Point, før Steve Marriott tok han med som offisielt medlem av Humble Pie.
