Samuel Lawrence Taylor (fødd 26. juni 1942) er ein USA-amerikansk bassgitarist, mest kjend som medlem av Canned Heat frå 1967. Før han vart med i Canned Heat var han studiomusikar for The Monkees og Jerry Lee Lewis.[1] Han er den yngre broren til Mel Taylor, som var trommeslagar i The Ventures.
Han spelte òg med John Mayall då han flytta til Los Angeles i 1970, i lag med Harvey Mandel, som òg spelte i Canned Heat. Sidan spelte han ei kort stund med Sugarcane Harris Band (seinare kalla Pure Food and Drug Act).
Taylor har spelt på mange Tom Waits-album og spelt bass i turnébandet hans.[2]
