Steven Weinberg (fødd 3. mai 1933) er ein amerikansk fysikar som no er professor i fysikk og astronomi ved University of Texas i Austin. Weinberg mottok Nobelprisen i fysikk i 1979 saman med Abdus Salam og Sheldon Lee Glashow «for bidraga deira til teorien om foreinleg svak og elektromagnetiske vekselverknader mellom elementærpartiklar, mellom anna føreseiinga av den svake nøytrale straumen»

Weinberg fekk ein bachelorgrad frå Cornell University i 1954. Han forlet Cornell og drog til Niels Bohr-instituttet i København. Etter eitt år returnerte Weinberg til Princeton University der han tok ein filosofisk doktorgrad i fysikk i 1957.
